From Hallmeadow Road take the permissive path through the wood. See map

After about 10 yards it turns right, paralleling Hallmeadow Rd.  When you reach the point it meets the footpath coming from the Railway Inn, turn left over the railway bridge into the Fisheries by the Café.

Keep straight ahead through the Fisheries and across the field beyond to an awkward bridge with a stile at either end.

Cross over and follow the path to the kissing gate onto Baulk Lane.

Turn left and after about 10 yards go through another kissing gate on the right.

Follow the footpath along the hedge until you take another kissing gate.  This is a mini crossroads.

Take the kissing gate to the left and cross the field back to Baulk Lane.
Cross the lane and go up the track to Ram Hall.

Continue straight through the farmyard and follow the footpath all the way the to Berkswell Village (this is the bit with the muddy gateways).

You will come out onto Lavender Hall Lane opposite the Almshouses. You are heading next for the church.

You can go left to walk past the Well or right to walk past the Green and left up Church Lane.

Walk to and past the church.

Follow the footpath alongside the wall and cross the boardwalk in front of Berkswell Hall.

When you reach point where the path ahead is closed turn right and follow the well walked footpath through woods and across fields until you reach a point where HS2 have fenced off most of the field but left a narrow path to the left that takes you to the A452 just before Blooms (or whatever it is called now!).

Cross the A452 (there is a crossing point here) and walk left back towards Balsall Common until reaching a footpath on the right that leads across a field to a bridge over the West Coast Mainline.

Cross the bridge and follow the footpath to the next hedge.

Go through the gap and then turn left to follow the hedgeline to a stile and ditch that takes you onto Wootton Lane.

Turn right and after about 20 yards there is a stile to the left.

Follow this path across fields, passing Wootton Grange until you reach a kissing gate leading out onto the drive to Wootton Grange.  Go out onto the drive and turn right.

At the end of the drive turn right and follow Wootton Green Lane until reaching a footpath to the left (this is on a bend and quite narrow so easy to miss).

This footpath leads you to the George in the Tree opposite Sainsburys.

Cross the road and after a few yards on the Kenilworth Rd take the footpath beside the white cottage.

This leads you to the Hornets football field.

Follow the hedge to the corner where a kissing gate leads to steps that take you up and over the hedge exiting out onto the side of the roundabout by Lavender Hall Bridge.

Follow Hallmeadow Road back to the start.
